Gemeinsam sensibel sticken (eng. sensitively embroidering together) was a space for sharing and for exploring the experience of art-making within a collective. Directed to people with or without experience in embroidering. It consisted of 6 guided encounters with a series of dynamics to inspire creativity and make the group feel confident. Materials were given, and the participants could freely experiment with the motives and techniques. During these encounters, we experienced the development of each of the participants, their ideas and motives, and their openness to the group.

This project took place just after the first COVID wave in Germany when people could meet only in small groups outside again before the next lockdown came. So the idea of togetherness gain even more meaning and served a greater need in this context.

Founded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine Westphalia and mentored by Judith Alalú from TAE Barcelona.
